This is a maintenance release. On this version, we focus converting some system plugins in the extensions to Joomla Scheduled Tasks. During the update process, the system will uninstall these converted plugins, and create necessary scheduled tasks automatically to replace these plugins, so you just need to update and do not have to do anything. Today, I am happy to announce the new version 5.2.0 of Events Booking. This version bring the following improvements to the extension

1. Joomla 6 Compatible
Joomla 6 is planned to be released on 14 October 2025, so in less than one month. This is a new major release, so there are backward incompatible changes and we have to spend time to work on Events Booking to make it compatible with the next Joomla major release. 1. Official Joomla 6 Support
Joomla! 6 was officially released last week. We have been testing and updating Events Booking since the early Joomla 6 Alpha, Beta, and Release Candidate versions to ensure full compatibility.
With version 5.3.0, Events Booking is now officially Joomla 6 compatible. Before upgrading your site to Joomla 6, please make sure you first update Events Booking to version 5.3.0 to ensure a smooth upgrade.

2. New Plugin: Event Managers
When you allow users to manage registrants from the frontend, you may want to assign multiple managers to each event. By default, only the event owner (the user set as Created By in the event) can manage registrants.
If you want to allow more than one manager, simply enable the new Events Booking – Additional Event Managers plugin and select the additional managers you want to assign for each event on the add/edit event screen.

3. Enhanced Google Structured Data Plugin
The Events Booking – Google Structured Data plugin has been improved to provide better SEO and richer Google search results. This update adds support for additional recommended fields such as Organizer, Performer, Event Status, URL, and Valid From. These extra details help Google better understand your events and can improve how they appear in search results.

4. Other Improvements
- Coupon Import: You can now include the category column in your import file to assign imported coupons to specific event categories.
- Coupon Export: Exports now include all coupon data fields for easier management and backups.
- Auto Coupon Generation Plugin: Now supports assigning automatically generated coupons to specific event categories.
- Mass Mail: Added a new option called Prevent Duplicate Mass Mail. When enabled, if multiple registrations use the same email address, they will receive only one message instead of duplicates.
- Ticket Types Plugin: Now supports Discount by Percent in addition to fixed discounts.
- Monthly Calendar & Full Calendar: You can now display events from multiple locations instead of a single one.
- Frontend Registrants Management: Added a new filter to view registrants by Registrant Type.

5. Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where exporting registrants from the frontend did not work when filtering by category.
- Fixed the Location Filter not working correctly in the Full Calendar view.
